The dept of infrastructure and planning have released a SEQ regional plan 2009-2031. The plan is open for submissions until 3 april 2009. I have not read it
yet, but its the sort of thing we should all be reading and putting submisison together for, we should do this individually and as a whole (thru ACAQ), its not
purly a numbers game but it helps a lot if the ideas are quality.

Section 3.5 is here. It all sounds like waffle, except that:
Toward Q2: Tomorrow's Queensland sets a target of protecting 50 per cent more land for nature conservation and public recreation by 2020. A critical first step to achieve this is the development of a regional inventory of land for outdoor recreation. We could give them a wish-list of crags on private land, that should be bought for public use if they're put up for sale. |
