			<title><![CDATA[ ? Safety of anchors on Date Anatomy - KP ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ After arriving at the anchors of Date Anatomy on Thursday night I wasn&#39;t overly excited at the appearances of their bolts.

One bolt appeared to be sticking out of the rock by about 10mm, while the other would have proud by about 30mm!
<br>
I don&#39;t know how long these bolts are, but if 30mm is sticking out, that means that there&#39;s 30mm of an expansion bolt not doing it&#39;s job.

			<description><![CDATA[ <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt">I was looking at the belay/rap chains on Summer Holiday (Ngungun) and wondering why the left chain looked ok,
but the right chain looked quite rusty (see picture).  My partner suggested that the right chain was older, but I couldn&#39;t work out why, if someone
replaced the left chain, they didn&#39;t also replace the right chain at the same time?  So my next guess is the right chain is a different type of metal?

Currently the crux bolt hanger is spinning, and if it is a dynabolt then this needs to be fixed.

			<description><![CDATA[ Just for the record, here&#39;s a photo of the anchor on Urban Villian which we replaced with Fixe double rings last year. The one on the right is the ultimate
low cost solution with a 2mm steel ring home welded onto a PFH bolt plate, and the whole assembly held in place with what seemed to be an 8mm bash-in carrot.
The one on the left was more substantial, and used a SS fixed hanger, an 8mm steel machine bolt, possibly a glue-in, and a DMM alloy biner. A strange mix, but
